You don't have to suffer any more! This may seem unbelievable if you've been feeling this way for a long time. Perhaps you've even been using 'strategies' to help you feel calmer, but they never really seem to have any long-lasting effects and you've come to believe that you'll never be 'normal'. That your brain must just be different, that this is the way life is.
It doesn't have to be! You just haven't been taught how to calm your brain. Perhaps you've had some big stressors in your life. Perhaps you've had some trauma. Perhaps you've never really recovered, you've just kept carrying on. You've pushed through. But now it's getting harder and harder to keep pushing through. You're not broken! You don't need fixing! Your brain is working perfectly; it just doesn't know that the stress or stressors are actually over.
Your brain may need help understanding that you are now safe, that all those things are in the past and it's ok now. And that's where I come in. I can help you find relief pretty quickly. From the first session, I aim to have you feeling some sense of relief. But just because you feel a little better from the first session, doesn't mean you can't feel a whole lot better. My aim, if you'll let me, is to help you get to a point where you have really processed the lingering baggage from the past, you feel a sense of calm in yourself and you are excited about your future. And, as life always has stress in it, ensuring that you have ways to deal with the stress, that actually work.
