About Robyn Monteleone (Mon-tel-ee-oh-nee)
Hi, I'm Robyn Monteleone.
I help people make changes in their life and release unconscious blocks. Often, we have stumbling blocks that have been around for a while, taking up mental space and creating a heavy emotional load. You may have even told yourself you can handle it on your own. What would your life look like, if you no longer beat yourself up? If you were able to silence those negative thoughts and replace them with "I can, I will, I am!"? Remove internal conflicts, set boundaries with toxic people, remember to dream again and work on the life you want? If you've ever wondered if there's more to life, I'm here to help you find it. We get caught up in the busy-ness of life and responsibilities and all of a sudden, we can feel like we've lost ourselves in the process. If it's time to find yourself again, if it's time to make that change, if it's time to get rid of that emotional baggage, let me help you move forward with your life to a life you'll love. |
How did I get into hypnotherapy?
At the age of 8 or 9, my brother hypnotised me to forget one of the numbers between 1 and 10. He asked me to count my fingers and I counted to 11. I was confused and fascinated at the same time. Thankfully, my brother allowed me to remember all the numbers again and my memory has held ever since. In high school, I discovered creative visualisations and how to use them to help relax and reduce stress. And I was also the kid everyone talked to and asked for advice. Growing up in a family with older parents who lived through WW2 in Australia with rations and family members leaving to go to war, I spent most of my childhood butting heads with my parents who felt I questioned too much, argued too much and insisted on doing things my way. Along the way I learnt a lot about how NOT to be married, have relationships and live life. I left home, went to university and studied Communications and married an Italian boy, hence the surname Monteleone (Mon-tel-ee-oh-ne). In the process I started to learn about personal growth, positive psychology, mindset and how our limiting beliefs and everyday decisions impact on our lives. Early on, I realised the more I learnt, the more options I had and became a compulsive learner. I was also fascinated with how we learn, how some people achieve goals and how some people never seem to have lots of bad luck and talk about long lost dreams. Whilst many coaches talk about changing our mindset, very few provide concrete techniques for how we can. Mind over matter is simply not that easy. I kept looking for tools and techniques that would actually help to make changes. I found hypnosis and NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and was hooked. Finally, I had found the tools to help me become a better version of me. Perhaps I was too young to appreciate my newfound knowledge. Life stepped in and I chose to concentrate on having a family, so I put aside my studies for a future time. 17 years, IVF, two kids, depression, another business and several house renovations and builds later, I went back to studying. I started from the beginning and gained my qualifications. The desire to continue on studying hypnotherapy and NLP never left me, so eventually I felt the kids were old enough and I couldn't stand NOT doing it anymore. What can't you stand anymore? If you're ready to move past whatever is holding you back, let's chat. |
